Oversees student workers during evening desk shifts, ensuring they handle tasks such as shelving, shelf-reading, searching for missing items, and other related responsibilities. Generates and processes Ohio Private Academic Libraries (OPAL) and OhioLINK INN-REACH requests and shipments. Assists Library & Information Technology department with invoices and general clerical paperwork. Guides patrons in finding and using library resources and answers basic reference questions. Provides basic technical troubleshooting for computers, printers, and equipment. Assists library staff with collection maintenance including deaccessioning and inventory.

Teaches private cello lessons to students of all ages. Crafts personalized lesson plans for each student, utilizing a progression through standard repertoire as well as tailoring lessons to each student’s interests and goals. Collaborates with students and parents to set and meet goals in student’s playing. Manages scheduling, bookkeeping, communication, and all other administrative duties.

Manages library desk, greeting library patrons and proactively assisting with any needs. Assists library patrons with locating scores, books, and multimedia items. Efficiently and accurately shelves scores, books, and multimedia items. Pulls holds for hold shelf, OhioLink, and inter-library loan requests and processes using Sierra ILS. Processes scores and books to be sent to the bindery, editing item records in catalog to reflect updated status and location. Sews scores into pamphlet binders and performs other music preservation related tasks.

Assisted library patrons at the reference desk by finding applicable articles, journals, books or other media for research or personal use using varied databases and the library catalog. Performed general circulation duties such as check outs and check ins, managing and submitting OhioLink and inter-library loan requests using Sierra ILS. Answered chats from the library website and calls from the library phone in a friendly and efficient manner. Assisted with special projects such as inventory counts, archival digitization projects, and collection weeding.

Rang out customers and processed returns or exchanges using POS system. Dealt with customer service issues and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner. Kept front store stocked and organized.
