Edgar Marques has a degree in Sports Management since 2010. He is certified as a personal training since2017, boxing coach grade II by the Portuguese Boxing Federation and IPDJ since 2011, karate coach grade I by the National Karate Federation and IPDJ since 2018.He has extensive professional experience, ranging from managing sports events, associativism, sports consulting, project coordination, teaching extracurricular physical and sports activities in basic education, mentoring professional internships, team building in conflict management programs to publishing an online boxing newspaper.He was a founder president and coach of non-proft youth association, “Academia de Boxe da Maia” (one project that had duration of 12 years) and won nacional and regional tittles as an individual and as a team.From 2020 to 2022 he was the vice President of “Associação de Boxe do Porto”.He is currently a sports consultant, personal trainer.He was a formation director and teacher of the Portuguese Boxing Federation.He started practising Karate at A.P.O.G.K (Portuguese Association of Goju-Ryu Karaté-Do) at the age of three in 1988, under the responsibility of National Chief Instructor Jorge Monteiro. He participated in several technical stages and competitions of his sport, in 1999 he was regional champion in Kata of APOGK. He is currently a karate Instructor having the 2nd Dan.He started practising swimming in 1988 and participated in several competitions.In 1995 he started piano lessons, participating in several auditions and concerts.He started practising boxing in 2001 and participated in several competitons and he was the National Champion in 2003 on 64kg category.
