Set up interviews with local and national media with athletes and coaches; maintained updated statistics in all sports; reported results to media; wrote, edited and designed press guides for all sports.

Covered USC and UCLA in football and basketball (1977-79), L.A. Lakers (1977-78 season) and high school sports; wrote regular sports-on-television column for daily section and the weekly TV guide. Broke the news about UCLA hiring new basketball coach Larry Brown, beating all other media -- including the L.A. Times -- to the story. Broke in as an editorial.
