Christian Edlagan (he/him) is a worker/community organizer with more than a decade of project management, strategic planning, and public engagement experience. Throughout his career, he's held various roles in both legacy institutions and startup non-profits. As an associate director at an economic policy and research organization Equitable Growth, he has a strong track record of elevating pro-worker ideas and voices, whether through scoping new funding priorities in artificial intelligence or climate, leading outreach for a competitive grants program, developing programming to elevate new voices in policy debates, or highlighting the critical importance of racial equity in policy analysis and data collection.Christian has been a visible and fierce advocate for his communities, from starting his career with the global LGBTQ+ rights group All Out and the UN Free & Equal Project, to serving as national co-chair of KAYA: Filipino-Americans for Progress (kaya means "yes we can" in Tagalog).As a former bartender, sales associate, tour guide, and church receptionist, and the proud son of an immigrant, union household—mother a registered nurse with NYSNA and father a doorman with 32BJ SEIU—he cares deeply about the economic well-being and dignity of all workers.He earned an M.
