As a TrackOps Operator for Major League Baseball, I was part of a team responsible for collecting and analyzing advanced data on player performance during games. This data was used by MLB teams to make strategic decisions during games, as well as informed decisions about trades and free agent signings.My role as a TrackOps Operator involved setting up and calibrating the equipment, monitoring it during games to ensure accurate and reliable data collection, and assisting with data analysis and reporting. I took on additional responsibilities such as remote scrubber which is someone who cleans up on field data not collected live during a game. I also been tapped to assist in the testing of the ABS technology at the MLB and Atlantic league levels.
