Solicitor within the IPTC (intellectual property, technology & commercial) team at MacRoberts with experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property, freedom of information and data protection across various sectors.

Managing a busy client base of approximately 80-100 clients at any one time. From advocacy, client care, negotiating, drafting court papers and analysing evidence I gained and developed a wide range of transferable skills. My experience at Digby Brown included:- appearing at a Fatal Accident Inquiry on behalf of a deceased’s family; - advocacy experience through running civil proofs in local Sheriff Courts and opposed motions;- instructing counsel and expert witnesses; - drafting pleadings in Court of Session proceedings and local Sheriff Court actions; and - analysing expert evidence across multiple sources and advising clients accordingly.

For approximately 9 years, I refereed football matches in Scotland, laterally as a Category 3 referee, officiating in the Junior/Senior ranks of Scottish football.
