I see my work as an unending expedition and exchange with oil-based multimedia and visual space. My work may be on tour, in galleries, or in my studio. Unpurchased works may be available for sale both as the original painting or alternatively as a more economically priced, limited edition giclée.Inspiration:With an early childhood start using the Klein paint-by-number system, Eddie James evolved throughout several style influences with Bill Alexander's "almighty brush" then Bob Ross using the wet-on-wet technique, I also sometimes paint with more traditional layering techniques. Thick impasto influences from Rembrandt, Rubens and Van Gogh along with the moderns, Pollock and Auerbach influenced the development of his mega-texturing technique while Klimt influenced use of thin metal leafing. Almost complete abstraction of composition with mega-texturization form the core of EddieJames works. Further, my work proposes a balance between different concepts, sometimes a mathematical implication of Fibonacci, the laws of physics, or simply the the juxtaposition of colors and textures.Virtually all my work is oil based and usually incorporates multi-media fusion dimensions of personally hand crushed and graded white Carrara marble for extraordinary texture, and either copper, silver or gold leaf for unique accents.Go to EddieJamesArtist.com for more info.
