Assemble automated dental milling machines and scanners from mechanical, electrical and its computer systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies that do not meet testing criteria. Load and test production software and systems. Use assembly instructions/drawings/process specifications and various hand and powered tools to build electromechanical assemblies according to specifications. Diagnose and repair returned customer products. Perform regression and validation test. Verify that correct job orders, part numbers and parts, equipment, tools, and hardware are available prior to starting assembly. Collaborate with engineering to resolve problems with components and procedures. Document assembly and test device history. Debug and repair components of products including mechanical and electrical components, wiring and cable assemblies, hardware, motors, and motion control systems. Responsible for using work instructions and test equipment to perform a series of operations to test/calibrate completed assemblies. Construct, assemble, and modify electronic circuit prototypes or engineering units, including circuit boards, assemblies and wire harnesses. Troubleshoot and diagnose non-functional or ill-performing electro-mechanical assemblies and systems. Locate component sources and occasionally work with a procurement team to acquire engineering parts. Reports all problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to manager. Support of groups other than R&D and manufacturing, as directed.

Perform a variety of routine tasks outlined in procedures and work instructions. Perform MRP utilization and diagnostic testing using PC systems. Perform the set up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of components, circuits, sub-assemblies, assemblies, modules and systems; recognize failures and set up problems encountered during system testing and formulate corrective action plans; operate multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, current probes, thermometers, and special test equipment; responsible for maintaining daily status logs and reports; perform tasks in accordance with established quality and safety standards; train other technicians; other duties as required.
