I'm a creative thinker and tinkerer willing to experiment with any medium that will deliver the magic. As such, my portfolio is multidisciplinary—ranging from print, digital, and environmental graphics, to CAD drafting, to 3D modeling and rendering.
Listed skills include Art, Adobe Creative Suite, Art History, Indesign, and 17 others.

Emily Clark work experience
A career timeline built from the work history available for this profile.
Graphic Designer
Working on independent projects affords me tremendous opportunities to grow as a creative leader, and to experiment with specific challenges in visual culture, branding, user experience, and communication design. Building a collaborative relationship with each client allows me to participate in their vision and understand their goals, which then informs design strategies that lead to insightful, consumer-activating graphics across a variety of media.
Graduate Teaching Assistant
Provided in-class support and instruction assistance, as well as outside-of-class tutoring, to students in a graduate-level 3D modeling/rendering course.
College Exhibitions Graduate Fellow/Design Corps
The College Exhibitions program at CCAD requires fellows to take a leadership role in designing and developing exhibitions for the Corcoran Gallery of Art and other venues, primarily in the Washington, DC metro area. During my fellowship, I worked on the following exhibitions—Una Selección del Arte de Baja CaliforniaExhibition Design/Art DirectionGallery 31 at the Corcoran Gallery of ArtFresh EyesEnvironmental Graphic DesignGallery 31 at the Corcoran Gallery of Art andFireproof East Gallery in Brooklyn, NYHack the Box Charrette/Hack-A-ThonExperiential DesignBrivoLabs in Bethesda, MDNEXT 2014Exhibition DesignGallery 31 at the Corcoran Gallery of ArtDiplomacy is ServiceInteractive DesignUS Department of State
Interactive Design Intern
As an interactive design intern at the Textile Museum, my core project was to design and develop a digital experience for a museum-wide exhibition that provided contextual information and imagery for visitors who wished to further explore the exhibition's content. The project required my leading curatorial and exhibitions staff towards an understanding of device-specific opportunities and constraints that would impact editorial and design decisions—and ultimately the quality of the aesthetic and user experience; in addition to editorial image research and content layout.
Floorplan Designer
Social Tables is a tech start-up developing a suite of web-based applications that enable event planners to produce space-planning diagrams and seating charts, check in guests, and plan resource procurement from any device. I worked at Social Tables over my summer break from graduate school, assisting their customer on-boarding team by drawing venue floor plans for new clients within the company’s proprietary web-app.
Exhibition Design Intern
As an exhibition design intern at NMAH, my core project was to design and develop an exhibit representing American culture at the time of the museum's founding in 1964. Guiding the project and its vision from concept to installation required both technical design skills and frequent collaboration with graphic production artists, installation staff, and fabrication supervisors to ensure that design/construction documentation could be clearly understood, and that project plans and requirements were both feasible and sensitive to production timelines.
Exhibition Design Intern
As an exhibition design intern at the DMA, my core project was to design and develop a show of paintings by Texas artist, Loren Mozley. Guiding group consensus among exhibitions and curatorial staff on the construction plans, layout of artworks, environmental treatments, and graphic identity of the show required both technical design and collaborative leadership skills.
Project Manager
AGame Marketing is a start-up specializing in digital and interactive promotions. I came on board as a graphic designer just a couple of months after their incorporation, but quickly took ownership of AGame's production/delivery pipeline and workflow. Some of my many hats included product development and design, creative direction—stitching together a cohesive narrative for each project by managing the work of graphic artists, 3D artists, and developers—logistics management, and road warrior—supervising installations each month at client sites across the US and Canada.
Design/Editorial Assistant
At Suburban Parent Magazines, I designed from-scratch ads for six different publications with a monthly circulation of over 95,000 issues. In addition to ad design, monthly production responsibilities included assisting the art director with content layout, managing ad updates and seasonal redesigns—and balancing editorial duties, such as content management and production for all six magazines. Additional projects included planning and managing cover photography shoots, and streamlining operations by designing and maintaining databases for both content and creative assets.
Education Department Intern
As an education department intern at Dallas’s leading Asian cultural institution, my responsibility was to communicate the social and historical impact of the collection to audiences of all ages by researching and developing lesson plans, art projects, and other learning materials for education department events—such as teacher training nights, docent presentations, arts festivals, and children's programming.
Design Tech
Designed and produced embroidery, chenille patches, and heat-seal artwork for sports team and corporate commissions; designed and produced vinyl car decals; assisted customers in point-of-sale transactions; maintained sales floor.
