I am a student interested in journalism, broadcast journalism, and public relations. I am reliable, an optimist, and a leader. I am someone to be counted on to get a job done on time, and with maximum effort and care. I have experience creating video news stories with only my cellphone, writing articles in AP style, and taking stories that might originally seem plain and turning them exciting. This experience came from my college courses that I have taken so far at Michigan State. I am experienced in planning successful events through my sorority, including family days, moms' weekends, and dads' weekends. These events require months of preparation so they are able to be enjoyed by not just the whole sorority, but also family members of the sisters. Along with sorority events, I have experience in planning events to be enjoyed by the entire greek community. From February until April of 2023, I was in charge of planning a dance competition for all of the fraternities and sororities on campus. This took weeks of planning and a lot of effort, and ended up being a successful and fun event for everyone who attended. This experience gave me leadership experience and broadened my ability to work with a team. Overall, I will take on a project with full effort every time. I am committed and ready to learn more about the world of journalism and everything involved with it.
