Reported quarterly to the Financial Committee and Board. Performed revenue recognition for $100M six-year 15-funder “Audacious TED Award” for Safety Net portfolio. Updated Sage Intacct accounting software and Adaptive Planning budgeting software configurations to take into account tracking, budgeting, and reporting for an increasingly complex matrix organization. Revived neglected fund accounting system for 2016 – 2022. Wrote and implemented Employee Financial Policies and Procedures document based on 20+ disparate policy pieces. Supervised the contracts team which typically processes 400 grant letters, MOUs, vendor agreements such as independent contractor, insurance, benefits, etc. annually. Grew the Finance team from four to ten members to address the demands of a rapidly growing organization. Oversaw nonprofit compliance for audit (including Single Audit for governmental grants) and IRS Forms 990, 1099s, etc.
