Helped found the nascent civic hacking community in Maine by organizing meetups, hack nights, and managing outreach and communications to members. Directly oversaw the grassroots outreach strategy that elected 5 first-time members to the Maine House of Representatives and aided in the reelection of the current Speaker of the House. Recruited, trained and retained hundreds of campaign volunteers. Conducted direct voter outreach through cold calls and door-to-door canvassing.

Created and managed the Google Plus listing and other local directories for the business. Created a wordpress-based website.

-Researched, drafted, and edited policy statements and fundraising appeals for the non-profit organization and posted these to the website using Drupal and HTML. Formatted and sent mass advocacy emails to a supporter base of over 7,000.- Chaired the Policy and Communications Committee and lead efforts to train and recruit new interns.

Lived and worked in the backcountry wilds of the Maine Appalachian Trail clearing and renovating hiking trails. Worked rain or shine in an incredibly close-knit team environment. This was one of the best jobs I've ever had.
