Mitch Vars has been working in the bikeshare and micro-mobility industry since 2008. He was a co-founder of Nice Ride Minnesota, one of the first large scale bike sharing systems in North America. He has advised cities throughout the U.S. on bikeshare system development and optimization. In 2014 he authored a specification for real-time bikeshare data which became the General Bikeshare Feed Specification (GBFS), now in use in over 45 countries around the world.
