I am committed to supporting and advocating for opportunity, empowerment, and liberation for all beings. A U.S. lawyer, I have experience in business immigration, human rights, and youth work and am passionate about creating and fostering community and connection. I am also queer, nonbinary, trans, and disabled. I name those identities because I did not see people like me leading fulfilling and authentic personal or professional lives until quite late in life, and that void kept me closeted into my early 30s. I know in a visceral way how visibility emboldens others to be visible, which leads to connection, community, power, and change. I also know that feeling safe enough to be visible is a tremendous privilege. I am both grateful for living and working in places that provide that safety and passionate about pushing for systemic change so that safety is available to everyone. I am aware of and incensed by systemic inequities born of white supremacy, sexism, ableism, and homo- and transphobia and am devoted to amplifying, advocating for, and supporting the voices of people that systems historically exclude.
