Board-member of the European Hyperloop Week, a non-profit foundation for the purpose of organising student engineering competitions and conferences in a novel and exciting new field: creating engineers with the skills required for a sustainable future.Responsibilities included:- Weekly board meetings with colleagues in Scotland, Switzerland, and Spain- Overseeing the establishment of the European Hyperloop Week as a foundation- Ensuring the compliance and risk management of a developing organisation in its fourth year- Processing relevant legal documentation to enable the event to be run, and for participants and their demonstrators to travel to the event from overseas

Responsibilities included:- Weekly meetings with the management of Delft Hyperloop to keep a close understanding of their current affairs and concerns and vice versa.- Representing Delft Hyperloop at Board meetings of the European Hyperloop Week

Worked as a full time part of a diverse team of 38 engineers to design, build and test a complete Hyperloop system, winning the Complete System Award and Innovation Award at the European Hyperloop Week in 2022 while contributing to the future of, and public perception of the Hyperloop.Responsibilities included:- Conceptual, Preliminary, and Detailed design, Manufacture/Assembly and Testing/Certification of the Chassis, Brakes, Track, and Aeroshell in a department of 5 FTE.- CAD design of >300 iterations of parts, linear/non-linear static, and implicit dynamic finite element analysis of assemblies >250 parts in size, and >400 hours of machining, including CNC machining, milling, and lathing.- Retaining an overview of the status of all physical systems on the vehicle, arranging maintenance and part replacement as required, and carrying out health checks.-Representing the team with industry leading partners at demonstration and display events, and with technical jury members at scrutineering and the competition
