I was employed by the owner of Guatemala Medical Travel and Casa Muriel Retirement Home to work across both businesses as the operations administrator and executive assistant. Teleperformance were contracted to LanguageLine Solutions providing English/Spanish translation services for a variety of client organisations. My roles involved:• Primary focus on medical translation for doctor-patient conversations for US and UK based clientele.• Providing translation services for other situations in which technical accuracy in language was required, such as discussions between police investigators and victims for updates on case resolution.

I was employed by the owner of Las Brasas restaurant to rebrand and manage a 50-cover bar and grill. My responsibilities included:• In charge of monthly payroll for a staff of 35 including arranging holidays, sick leave, and taxes for each employee. • Worked directly with the accountants and lawyers to comply with payment of taxes and maintaining permits required under Guatemalan law to ensure compliance with updated regulations.• Developed the onboarding manual for new hires to ensure smooth and efficient training, with priority on providing high level customer service.• Responsible for maintaining inventory for both kitchen and bar ensuring the correct utilization of stock.
