I am an environmental consultant and urban and regional planning student with a focus on environmental planning and assessment projects for the renewable energy, mining, and local infrastructure sectors. I joined Eco Logical Australia in 2016, completing a four-month unpaid internship as part of my degree before commencing a casual position with the company in June 2017, followed by a permanent part-time position in February 2020. Since joining ELA, I have gained experience: • in the preparation of environmental impact assessments, Development Applications, post-approval environmental management plans and compliance; • in negotiation, liaison and issue resolution with long-term clients in the renewable energy, water, and NSW State and Local Government sectors; and, • with contacts in government, industry, academia and the community. I have also developed a sound understanding of environmental and statutory approvals processes, NSW State and Commonwealth environmental policy and the ecology and management of terrestrial and aquatic environments.I have contributed to renewable energy, infrastructure, and environmental water projects through fieldwork (visual impact assessments, threatened flora surveys, aquatic ecology sampling, and botanic identification), data analysis, GIS mapping, report writing (EIS, REF, SEE, BDAR, VMP, LTIMs, Annual Monitoring), and project planning. Outside of consulting, I have gained experience in community and charity work through volunteering with the University of New England, the NSW Rural Fire Service, WIRES, and Landcare.
