I have a wide array of interests ranging from glassblowing to immunology! Vegan. Champion of underdogs everywhere! I am currently working as a freelance writer and copy editor. I have a great deal of experience in copy editing (I was last shift copy editor for “The Tartan,” the school newspaper at Carnegie Mellon University). I have also been an English tutor in many capacities since I was in junior high school.Although fighting for my life due to several life-threatening chronic illnesses has left a gap in my employment history as well as in my education, anyone who knows me knows I do not allow “bad hands” to keep me down and I am told I am “the hero” of many of my friends and family members who have seen what I have lived and fought through firsthand. I am a disability rights advocate and I frequently discuss social inequity among the “last marginalized people,” those with severe chronic illness, in my writing.
