We work to create opportunity for all of our students to interact and serve along side their peers with full engagement and support where necessary.In my position I organize and create our weekly schedule for one-on-one support for each of our students who have special needs, as well as follow-up with our volunteers regularly to assure they are content in their role with us. When Sunday comes around I am present in the classrooms available for behavior support and help our one-on-one 'sidekicks' in strategy development using ABA methodology.I also oversee two other positions within our team: Care coordinator and Events coordinator. Our care coordinator organizes care for families we serve when they are in crisis. I assist her in assuring the care provided is sustainable and effective. Our events coordinator organizes events for our families and volunteers to connect and spend time in fellowship. Events we put on can vary from Christmas parties, to respite nights. I help assure that our events are sensory friendly for the in which community we serve and preparations are running smoothly. Beyond my position in Sidekicks ministry, I keep myself available to support any area at Vantage Point Church to the best of my ability. Show less
