In this role I was able to hone in on my event management skills as I oversaw a number of school-wide events, bringing in hundreds and eventually thousands of guests. I collaborated with 4 Student Event Coordinators on the Executive Board for the conceptualization and execution of the University’s largest concert of the year, bringing in 5,000+ guests and 2 Grammy nominated artists. As Financial Director, I managed all financial budgets for Council and lobbied for group funding through discussion and planning with University’s Student Government. I also used administrative skills to record and journal expenditures among committees within the Council and made payments to hired artists, entertainers and vendors on behalf of the Council. In addition to my own work in this position, I mentored and supported 6 Student Event Coordinators within the council.

In this position I was taught the basic knowledge necessary in order to conceive and eventually execute an event. I worked with another student to organize internal social activities to promote camaraderie within the Council. We strategized ways to increase school spirit through a campus wide pop up event titled 'Spirit on the Concourse' during the University's Homecoming Week. I also coordinated efforts for our Council's celebratory Banquet, preparing and ordering a dinner menu for guests, and choosing small gifts and awards to honor Council members.

In this position I was able to travel overseas and adapt to the work environment of my London office. As a journalism intern for this small publication, I researched current trends and relevant news in popular culture and provided opinions on beauty, design, fashion and lifestyle trends, films and food.I used writing skills to prepare 6 to 7 articles per week to be published on beautyandthedirt.com and learned the importance of sticking to deadlines and producing good work in a time efficient manner.I also got the opportunity to preview new beauty products based on press releases Beauty and The Dirt received from companies such as Elizabeth Arden, YSL Beauté and AERIN.

In my starting position with this camp, I was the Assistant to the Head Set Designer for 8 productions including Musical and Dramatic Children’s Theater. In my final summer with this camp, I was promoted to Co-Head Set Designer to supervise and lead design team through 4 on-stage productions. My team and I were responsible for the designing, building and painting of all set pieces and back drops for these productions. In my time with this camp I served as Stage Manager for a total of 12 productions in Children's’ Theater, organizing and directing backstage crew. I was able to advance my leadership skills and forced to stay organized and calm in chaotic situations.
