- Directed Chart Completion and Medical Records Department Operations.- Supervised work flow of the subordinate staff in deficiency tracking, missing documentation for coding and billing purposes and monitor delinquency rate to meet the JACHO requirements for incomplete medical records. - Assist the department director in developing and implementing optimized workflow processes to improve department efficiency.- Coordinate and control physicians' pre-suspension and suspension processes- Quality Review of records for chart completion accuracy.- Update employee’s timecard in workday weekly. - Employees evaluations.- Help the department director in the implementation of the policies and procedures.

• Routinely check work of subordinate staff in the filing, assembling, analyzing, chart completion areas and physicians’ suspension to meet the JCAHO requirements for incomplete records.• Assist the department director in developing and implementing optimized work flow processes to improve department efficiency. • Monitor abstracting and analyzing accuracy and assist if necessary. • Coordinate internal mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as CMS, AHCA, etc. • Coordinate and control the “pulling lists.”• Train new personnel, volunteers and students with assigned tasks. • Prepare and review records for the Documentation Task Force, RAC and PROs to ensure documentation completion. • Coordinate all activities for the Florida Cancer Data System and LAHORA.• Coordinate and control chart completion.• Conduct a bi-weekly chart count of each physician documentation deficiency to determine the delinquency rate and prepare the department statistics. • Re-analyze all inpatient records for completion status. • Prepare check requests for outside vendors. • Supervise the ROI area and assist if necessary. • Prepare monthly Department Performance Improvement Plan. • Assist the department director with employee evaluations. • Coordinate and supervise the record retention and storage.• Assist the department director with any necessary tasks or projects.

Responsible for handling Release of Information for patients Medical Records including Legal and Non-Legal requests, including subpoenas in one hospital and assisting with similar duties in other hospitals.
