Organisation was funded then to deliver Home and Community Care Services to eligible members of the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian South Sea Islander communities in Mackay. The service was a model with the three groups being bought together because of the uniqueness of the Mackay community - the close links between the people in these three groups in the Mackay area. Each group is still regarded as an individual group with its distinct cultural differences but each is considered to enhance the other with the service operating successfully since that time.
