About Elizabeth Warren

I am a passionate infrastructure planner with experience in government policy development. I have worked in New South Wales and Queensland on a diverse array of projects including infrastructure funding, major infrastructure corridor reservation, regional plans, state significant projects and resource infrastructure planning. The wide variety of problems and challenges has allowed me to develop strong skills including the ability to critically analyse projects, clearly identify problems and work with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to develop solutions.I am a motivated person, and enjoy continually working to develop my skills and gain further experience. I thrive in both a team and individual environment, and believe I provide valuable input that goes beyond planning theory and represents real-world experience.I have the ability to provide a high level of project management practice to benefit both team and individual performance. This role also required the management of feedback from all NSW Government agencies, correctly correlating comments and applying these to the regional plans. This management was integral to the finalisation of the draft work, ensuring that all input was responded to and applied where required.

I was fortunate to be allocated to Dr Bruce Flegg Member for Moggill who had a keen interest in cyclist safety and connectivity, particularly due to recent cyclist fatalities and serious injuries which occurred in his electorate as well as in the greater Brisbane area.Using various data collection methods (including survey, observational methods), case study analysis and industry leader informal interviews, a research report was completed and submitted which provided an outline of leading practice in recognised cyclist-friendly countries as well as applicable recommendations that can be implemented across Brisbane so as to ensure continued protection for cyclists as well as drivers to improve driver and cyclist interactions. The report's recommendations, while concentrating on infrastructure, also highlighted several areas in regards to policy and legislation that could potentially succeed into shifting driver/cyclists attitudes towards a more harmonious interaction.
