How can someone be 3rd down on the corporate org chart from media mogul, John Malone, and fear the camera? Me...as a television producer in my mid-20s at the largest cable company in the world at the time: TCI.📺My love for "behind-the-scenes" actually came a decade earlier at 16. Randomly, I watched a show about the backstage workings of television and had such an intuitive hit that I ‘belonged’ there that I immediately searched colleges to learn.Attending one of the top communications schools in the country, I was hired at the campus television station and also became an unpaid segment producer on a weekly show. As I prepped the hosts, I knew then, with my gift for details and organizing, I loved supporting those on camera. During my 20-year career as a television producer, I led network talent, C-Suite executives, top national educators and more, to master the message and become camera-ready for countless live and recorded interviews and programs.Along the way, I also worked with the Food Network, Showtime and Starz and as a producer/writer for multiple prime-time HGTV series including: If Walls Could Talk, A Place to Call Home, Designer Finals, Christmas Castles and Winter Gardener. You’d think leading cast & crew through hundreds of episodes for a global audience would finally make me comfortable in the limelight. Nope.Early on in my broadcasting career, I was dropped in front of the camera and there I was sweating in the hot seat when-since I was 10-I was a black diamond skier and had recently bungee jumped from a hot air balloon. Really?? Today, I help high-achieving women entrepreneurs to become confident & credible on camera, create easy videos, live streams or a YouTube show, and pitch to the media in order to have a more powerful online presence and grow their business.As an entrepreneur since 2010, I had to embrace the spotlight, learn video marketing strategies and how to authentically be on-camera and online.
