I am a graduate student at Miami University, where I am pursuing a master's degree in biology. My current research is looking at the effects of pesticides on amphibian food webs in the Midwest. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology, with a focus on ecology and evolutionary biology from Western Carolina University in 2021.As a teaching assistant, I have supported multiple courses at different levels, such as field ecology, introductory biology, mammalogy, and animal behavior. I have facilitated student learning, especially as it relates to technical writing skills and research techniques. I have also contributed to the research mission of Gaston College, where I provided technical assistance to two S-STEM grants that aimed to improve STEM retention and transfer rates.I am passionate about ecology and its implications for conservation and management. I work to be an effective communicator in outreach, as the mission of ecological conservation and restoration can not be complete without the public's support.
