As a Chemistry Intern, I was tested on the technical knowledge I gained throughout my engineering education to help develop new consumer packaged goods. My teamwork and problem-solving skills were developed to direct future research and gain valuable business knowledge. I was continuously tasked with breaking down complex problems to assess to validity of experiments I ran, which were based in fundamental scientific and engineering processes.

I studied the degradation of environmental pollutants via electrochemical methods. I synthesized potential experimental and analytical methods to acquire and interpret novel data through scientificliterature review and shared my knowledge with fellow researchers at weekly team meetings.

Bremerton, Wa

I tutored students in organic and inorganic chemistry, biology, physics, and math from pre-algebra to ordinary differential equations. Each student I helped had a different approach to learning, which presented a fundamental challenge: they did not grasp the material in the exact same way I had. I had to flexible, empathetic, and thorough in the way I communicated, and my excitement over seeing a student's "aha" moment never subsided.
