About Elliot Walker
Graphic design is such a vast design discipline, acting more of an umbrella than a speciality. There are a myriad of ways to tackle a brief and even more ways of executing that direction which makes it that much more exciting! What I love about being a Graphic designer is that every project is different, challenging you in new and interesting ways. Thats also what I enjoy about working in a team, helping each other to grow and develop whilst also facing the same challenges.I'm not afraid to jump into something new, take on tasks which challenge me and be adventurous in exploring projects, always trying to make myself better and more experienced than the previous version!I strongly believe that creativity encourages us to be more innovative with how we approach problems, and its this encouragement which drives us to bigger and better heights.
Listed skills include Logo Design, Graphic Design, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and 19 others.

Graphic Designer
While at Phanteks I took on the role of Graphic Designer, a position which focused mainly on maintaining brand consistency, supporting the product designers and the marketing team with visual design material. The tasks which I was responsible for included creating artwork for web use in the RGB colourspace (web banners, press releases, animated GIFs and small amounts of video editing), helping to create material tradeshows, web design (planning layouts, editing HTML & CSS within a shopify template), maintaining a level of brand design consistency across all platforms and creating packaging artwork for wide-spread distribution within the CMYK colourspace.I utilized skills involving the use of programs like Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop within my position across all tasks I was responsible for, but also incorporated time management, multitasking, HTML & CSS knowledge, communication both written and verbal and innovative thinking. With such a welcoming and friendly working environment, the experience at Phanteks had been full of surprises, fun, opportunities and challenges. I felt I was challenged appropriately with the tasks presented and have learned a great deal about product design, print design and teamwork from this experience.
Founder & Lead Designer At Animus Visual Design
As a way to expand my design abilities by doing varied design projects, I established myself a graphic design freelancer. Time management, organising projects & learning to seek out work are all skills that have been sharpened since establishing myself as a freelancer. I have met many great people since making this decision and have worked on a few collaborative projects, all of which involved a high amount of communication and patience.
Strategic Design Intern
As a Strategic Design Intern at Yex B.V. I supported the marketing and design team which included artwork for trade show events, website material and artwork for packaging. In this position I had made close connections and learned a great deal about a different area of design outside my usual design experience.During my time in this position, my responsibilities involved producing packaging artwork which fit seamlessly onto a provided die-cut, supporting with planning and production of event and tradeshow event materials, Fliers, communicating with international farmers and making sure the farmers which I was in contact with printed and produced the right colour boxes in accordance with the Yex brand guidelines. These tasks required the use of skills such as the use of Illustrator for artwork and packaging design, InDesign for fliers and structure, coordinated communication as part of working with other teams, pitching ideas, creating physical prototypes as proof of concept and a good sense of humor.Working with everyone at Yex was an exciting, interesting and quick-paced experience which I relished and enjoyed. I learned much and expanded my knowledge on how how vastly different each design discipline can be when shaped by a project's context.
Visual And Ux Design Intern
Oview is a company which strives for democracy and seeks to change the way we think of voting through it’s mobile application. It was an interesting experience as being part of this company meant that it was run democratically, desicions are made on the whole as a team and the organisation of meetings and discussions are rotated within the group.
Student Representative
I was responsible for gathering student feedback and any complaints they had to forward to our course leader during the last semester of my study. During this role I had to be in meetings with other course representatives to discuss actions that could be done to solve the student qualms.
