Process Designer
CurrentEngineering and Design:• Proficiently create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and prototypes in alignment with predefined product requirements.• Develop documentation, including design specifications, progress reports, and functional requirement documentation.Programming and Automation:• Execute programming tasks on a range of platforms, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and microcontrollers, specifically tailored for industrial applications.• Drive research initiatives focusing on resource planning tools (Infor CSI), shop floor network communication, instrumentation, controllers, and electrical machinery, contributing to process improvements.• Conduct rigorous testing of controllers and program requirements to meet project objectives.Project Management:• Effectively manage multiple projects from inception to completion, employing efficient planning, execution, and oversight.• Analyze existing product lines to identify opportunities for enhancing quality, functionality, and production cost reduction.• Skillfully reverse-engineer competitor product offerings to inform strategic decisions.Collaboration and Development:• Collaborate with fellow engineers on various product development endeavors, sharing expertise and insights.• Innovatively design solutions and systems to control and monitor production plant operations.• Proactively identify and resolve system issues by implementing creative problem-solving techniques.Quality Assurance and Review:• Diligently review project designs and work for functionality, reliability, and user-friendliness.• Facilitate weekly progress meetings to discuss project milestones, upcoming tasks, and areas requiring improvement.• Prepare comprehensive review notes outlining project deficiencies and meticulously track project milestones.Supervision and Leadership:• Provide leadership by supervising technicians and programmers in addressing current system deficiencies effectively.
