Senior at University of Central Oklahoma majoring in Strategic Communications. My interests are in creating brand awareness through social and digital media marketing. Driven, energetic and motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills, I work well with people and have exceptional teamwork skills. Health and fitness is a top priority for me. I have been working at the UCO Wellness Center for two years and participate in the intramurals regularly. In my spare time, I volunteer at the health walks to raise awareness for breast and colon cancer. I enjoy civic engagement and did a community outreach internship with a local nonprofit organization last summer. I hope to pursue a career in communication and plan on publishing my blog in the next five years. My dogs(I have two of them) are a big part of my life - I used to be scared of dogs when I was a child. Now, my dogs are my best friends. As I overcame my fear of dogs, I apply the same tenacity towards my learning and ability to overcome any challenges. It is this perseverance which sets me apart and has helped me succeed.
