This intensive Summer Training program offered a deep dive into well intervention operations, with a strong focus on coiled tubing and stimulation techniques. Over the course of the program, I gained hands-on experience, working closely with seasoned professionals to understand the complexities of these critical processes.The program not only bolstered my technical knowledge, but also honed my practical skills, preparing me to contribute effectively to the oil & gas industry. Through this experience, I developed a keen understanding of the latest technologies and best practices in well intervention, which will be invaluable in my future endeavors.

With Dr. Qing Peng, a visiting professor of Physics, we collaborated alongside a group of students remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic using the LAMMPS (Large-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator) Molecular Dynamics Simulator as part of the Graphene under Extreme Conditions project. Regular progress tracking meetings are conducted each week and during vacations, allowing every team member to present their progress within 15-25 minutes.Tasks include:1. Adjusting the physical parameters found in the Input Script to obtain diverse conclusions regarding various mechanical tests performed using the simulator.2. Visualizing the physical experiments using OVITO software.3. Retrieve output data following the simulations to construct stress-strain curves utilizing Matplotlib.4.
