Emily is an alum from Georgia Southern University where she received her degree with a focus in Wildlife and Field biology. She was fortunate enough to complete an independent research project in the Piora region of Switzerland. Her project focused on exploring the behavioral interactions between insects and local flora, which was then presented to a group of peers. After graduation Emily was accepted into a Natural Resource Internship with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. This internship gave her the opportunity to learn about managing invasive species and native fisheries research. Her position with the USFWS only encouraged the love for the outdoors and wildlife management.She is anticipating returning to the field now that we are looking toward the flattening curve of the COVID-19 pandemic.
