I grew up in a home that emphasized gaining an education is one of the most important things I can do as knowledge is one of the greatest things I can possess. That is why I have spent so much of my life gaining an education and learning from the world around me. After graduating high school, I spent time learning at Pikes Peak Community College where I took a wide range of classes from Biology to Psychology, and American Sign Language just trying to absorb as much knowledge as I could. It was not until I found BYU-Idaho through the BYU-pathways program that I settled down and picked a more specific field of study and embarked on the path to a business degree. While attending college, I also worked part-time at Costco Wholesale. I spent a majority my time working in their food court, but also trained in the bakery and on the front-end cashiering and assisting cashiers. While working at Costco, I gained more knowledge and skills such as communication with and between departments, leadership skills and even knowledge of running a business such as counting inventory, stocking supplies, reducing waste and shrink, all while managing time and being efficient. All these things drew me towards learning more about business and marketing. I hope that as I travel the world as a military spouse, my knowledge will expand just like it has for several years.
