My passion and skills lie in designing project based curriculum that are scaffolded to achieve the widest range of success. This type of learning engages even the lowest students in critical thinking, problem solving, and 21st Century skills. Currently, the main focus of my students is designing a board game that reflects their research on ancient civilizations. Some future projects on the table include opening a town theater (playhouse) and a local animal shelter.Working in a small rural school has provided me with unique opportunities to show creativity and push myself to guide students through projects that some would seem impossible.
