Authored and edited research and policy briefs, blog posts, and editorials on the treatment of the topic of gender in international humanitarian law culminating in the publication of a coauthored paper in the journal Interdisciplinary Political Studies.

As a research assistant for the Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict (SVAC) project I have analyzed 300+ human rights reports to code incidents of sexual violence in global conflict regions. In doing this, I have extracted qualitative and quantitative violence data from governmental and nonprofit reports and used this information to update the SVAC dataset. The SVAC dataset serves as the most comprehensive source of conflict-related sexual violence information, and enables human rights researchers worldwide. This position has helped me gain a deeper understanding of research methodologies as they relate specifically to internationally focused research.

I I applied UX research methodologies to design and execute interviews with Second Day Impact Fellows and distill insights from these interviews. I then proposed thoughtful programatic and curriculum changes based on user feedback to ensure that Second Day is adequately preparing fellows for jobs in the social impact space.

As a Business Development Associate, I assisted Second Day's Co-founders in building the organization's growth strategy. I also provided individualized support to Second Day's fellows and prepared them for career success by building relationships with employers in the social impact space.

Second Day is a non-profit startup that works to mobilize top talent into the social impact space. As a scouting intern for Second Day, I identify, evaluate, and research exemplary companies that are making an impact in the world while also providing a positive work environment and top-notch career growth opportunities to new employees. Additionally, I provided input on the design of Second Day’s new undergraduate social impact fellowship program.

The Caravel is Georgetown University's international affairs newspaper.As a staff writer for the Latin America and Caribbean section of the paper, I researched and wrote weekly articles about under-reported news stories in the region. I have written about a wide range of topics including corruption, migration, and environmental issues.

As a full-time intern in the office of U.S. Senator Chris Murphy I represented the office to Connecticut constituents by guiding tours of the Capitol in both English and Spanish, answering phones, and organizing and distributing mail. I also assisted legislative staff with research in the areas of foreign policy, technology, gun violence, and housing. Finally, I attended meetings and briefings on behalf of staffers and reported relevant information in the form of comprehensive memos.

As a research assistant to the executive director of the GHI, I had the opportunity to involve myself in many of the different projects undertaken by the Initiative. I provided research for regional global health factsheets, outlining the University’s involvement in each region and quantifying our engagement and impact in each area. I also wrote blog posts for the website, focusing on international efforts to increase global health security. In addition to blog posts, I drafted communications on behalf of the Initiative outlining our 2019-2020 theme of climate and global health, and underscoring its importance. I was trained in the web design platform used by GHI and was responsible for posting events and blog posts, as well as contributing to the restructuring of the site map.

Voya Cares is a program that works to ensure that Voya Financial employees fully understand and are doing all they can to serve and employ those with special needs and disabilities.During my internship, I was the lead researcher and creator of several important resources to assist families in disability situations with plans for their futures. Those resources included an online fillable letter of intent and the majority of the content for an online community resource database of nationwide disability resources. I also provided significant team support by conducting thorough research, designing compelling presentations, conducting interviews, and exploring new technologies and channels for our various communications. This internship allowed me to demonstrate my considerable written and oral communications skills as an active participant on team projects, and as liaison to other parts of the company.
