NB - Currently in the process of legally changing my name from Emily Bond to Dylan Maxwell.Current goal: a Trusts-and-Estates Paralegal/Legal Assistant position (remote or hybrid) or Sewer/Embroiderer/Craftsperson or Retail Associate position, part time (20-30 hours). For hybrid/on-site work, job site must be in Manhattan or Brooklyn, or Hartford County CT.I learn extremely quickly, and learn best by doing - my sewing skills are mostly self-taught, by means of repeatedly taking on projects slightly above my existing skill level, and I taught myself to embroider well enough for liturgical work in only two projects. After only a year or two as a paralegal, I was competent to handle my grandmother's estate from start to finish. I am also extremely comfortable with technology; in a prior position as a restaurant hostess, I was assigned to teach the computer menu system to the newest hire only two weeks after learning it myself, and in my paralegal position, I served as de facto tech support in the office.Please note that I do not have a paralegal certificate or training/experience in other areas of legal practice, due to the highly specific nature of Trust and Estate work, but CAN easily pick up other accounting-type work - I can prepare formal estate or trust accounts without need of special software, and have worked with a few different tax programs as well. I would be happy to obtain a paralegal certification and/or become a notary if training is paid for by the company.I also have various retail, library, hostess/waitress, and secretarial experience, and some costume shop intern work, in addition to the more recent positions listed. I make clothing/costuming and jewelry (bead and chain type, as well as bead embroidery, and I've recently been learning to do fine jewelry in silver) as a hobby.
