Emily Miranda has demonstrated as a hardworking and effective communicator who thrives to spread awareness on the importance of mental health within all communities, but most specifically in diverse populations where it is often overlooked. In her previous work, she has gained experience working with children as a caregiver and as a tutor. She was a caregiver with Jovie, an agency dedicated to provide additional care to children with autism and learning disabilities such as ADHD and ADD. She learned the importance of behavior management and adaptability and was highly intrigued by the study of the brain. Her future aspirations are to become a psychiatric nurse. Additionally, she is interested in conducting research on the impact of trauma in brain development in children.
