As Graduate Support Coordinator, I work closely with the other members of the Program Team to provide extensive and on-going support for service dog and companion teams following placement. My responsibilities include being the point of contact for graduates for the entirety of their partnerships, reviewing written six month reports for every team, administering recertification tests every 1-2 years for service dog teams, holding monthly graduate support classes, and providing individual assistance through home visits and private training.

The responsibilities of raising a CPL puppy include socializing the puppy in public facilities daily, attending obedience classes provided by CPL, training basic obedience and social behavior, and completing monthly reports as well as regular evaluations of the puppy's progress. I have raised one puppy full-time and have acted as a secondary and temporary puppy home to multiple other dogs in training. I also assist with training classes for puppies 8-16 weeks old being raised in the community. This involves meeting twice a month and performing an evaluation at 4 months of age before they move on to the next step in training.

As a kennel assistant, my primary responsibility was to provide daily care for up to 28 service dogs in training. This included feeding, organizing play groups, assigning volunteers, and other tasks to maintain the health and safety of the dogs. It is the kennel staff's responsibility to maintain cleanliness and organization in order to uphold a high level of standards that ensure the best care is being given to the dogs in training.

My responsibilities as an intern at Penn Vet Working Dog Center included handling and caring for working dogs in training, as well as observing and assisting in training sessions. I have been certified in Fit to Work, a training and conditioning curriculum vital to maintaining the health of working dogs in training.
