I'm a Junior at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business with a 4.0 GPA pursuing a B.S. in Marketing. I am an Evansville, Indiana native, but I ventured to NYC to pursue educational and professional opportunities. Swapping the cornfields of Indiana for the bustling streets of NYC has certainly been a transition, but my passion for personal connections remains the same.As a Marketing Scholars Candidate, I am one of 40 students in a program that provides unique, high-profile opportunities to advance marketing careers through visits to leading advertising agencies and exposure to industry-leading professionals. I'm also active on campus, serving as one of 40 student representatives on the Gabelli School of Business Dean's Council and as a member of the Fordham Marketing Association. I also serve on the Marketing Committee for Fordham's chapter of The Women's Network, a national women's networking organization with chapters on 120+ campuses. My position as Advertising Director for The Fordham Ram has also helped me hone my verbal and written communication skills through email and in-person prospect outreach.My past internships have allowed me to apply my classroom business skills in the real world. Last summer, I worked as a Marketing Intern at Better Off, a social group experiences start-up app for young professionals. I worked on several projects, including competitor research and benchmarking to inform SEO, as well as email marketing and SMS/push notification strategies. During the summer prior, I worked as a Marketing Intern in the corporate headquarters of Parlor Doughnuts, a rapidly expanding doughnut shop with 30+ locations. I gained valuable experience conducting market research and planning social media strategies to increase brand awareness. Within Fordham's academics, two hallmark programs have allowed me to work in team settings for extended periods where I generated deep analysis and research to support a large final presentation. As part of Gabelli's Consulting Cup Challenge, I worked with a team of my peers to develop a comprehensive solution for Coca-Cola that included a line of healthy snacks to complement some of their existing beverages.
