I am a Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf certified American Sign Language interpreter and hold a Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language from Framingham State University. I have one semester’s experience of studying British Sign Language Interpretation and Translation at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. I am currently pursuing my Master of Research in Linguistics at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. As an interpreter and Coda, child of Deaf adults, I am interested in the brokering experiences in Deaf-hearing families. My research is exploring the signed language brokering and heritage language maintenance practices among hearing Codas with migrant parents.
