Design and lead projects for youth-serving organizations to strengthen out-of-school-time and community-driven learning systems, networks and partnerships.

As a part-time contractor, managed content development for one of IEL's signature initiatives: the Education Policy Fellowship Program. Developed monthly newsletters, designed sessions and managed speaker preparation and presentations for state leadership meetings, planned and facilitated alumni peer-to-peer learning activities. Managed all aspects of the fellowship's national convening, the Washington Policy Seminar, including sponsor cultivation, session design, speaker preparation, etc.

As contributing consultant, provided strategic services to philanthropic, local government and nonprofit clients focused on collective impact, project management, research and writing.

Led education initiatives of an international membership organization representing 150 public libraries in the US and Canada. Identified and advanced public libraries as essential education institutions. Strengthened collaborations between library systems, school districts, city/county government, and public housing authorities. Designed and led field scans, facilitated stakeholder meetings, documented best practices and disseminated through multiple channels including white papers, webinars, leadership briefs, toolkits and conference presentations. Built national partnerships resulting in broader local impact.

Directed and executed projects for investor relations, communications and network development in a fast-paced, time constrained national campaign setting. Reported progress to and stewarded relations with 14 foundation and corporate investors.

Provided strategic leadership for the agency’s twelve-member presidentially appointed, bi-partisan Board of Directors. Facilitated board members’ interface across five executive departments and eight program offices. Produced and delivered written and verbal briefings on program performance, budget oversight and external relations.

Managed and monitored multi-state, multi-million dollar grant portfolio of 18 state education agencies, community-based organizations, higher education institutions, and tribes. Administered site visits and provided customized coaching and consultative services based on needs of granted organizations.
