As a Senior Consultant with The Learning Agenda, I currently support the design and facilitation of learning experiences for out of school time (OST) professionals across the U.S. My primary focus is facilitating workshops and peer learning communities around high quality summer programs. From 2021-2024, I was the primary learning design coordinator and facilitator of the ADSY PEP Summer Learning Community for Texas school districts. This community now includes over 60 school districts across Texas who are being funded to apply evidence based summer learning design principles to pre-existing or new voluntary summer programs. This initiaitve has been pivotal in creating a paradigm shift from traditional summer school models to more enriching and engaging summer programs that youth and families are excited to attend.

I help nonprofit professionals and organizations create and hold space for courageous inquiry, deep empathy, and wild ideation. In this role, I returned to EngenderHealth as part-time Project Director for the final year of the Re:MIX Project. I oversaw a staff of four people focused on training and capacity building for youth workers interested in growing sexual health facilitation skills, finalizing publications and disseminating our findings and implementation package to partners.

Managed the portfolio and replication of programs at EngenderHealth U.S. including our active Re: MIX project and team-- a comprehensive sexual reproductive health program for middle and high school aged youth, which includes a young parent peer educator professional development program and 5 year study funded by the Office of Adolescent Health. During my time with ACC Continuing Education, I coordinated sponsored workforce development cohorts for non-profit and education organizations in the local community, with a focus on trades, business communication and ESL courses. In this capacity, I worked with many stakeholders including students, businesses, schools, juvenile justice department, and workforce certification programs.Key Accomplishments & Contributions Include:-Spearheaded the redesign of a comprehensive Building Maintenance course-Enhanced and created numerous processes for the department ranging including hiring practices, curriculum development and partner stewardship

Since 2013, I have worked as a consultant with various individuals and organizations to provide a diversity of leadership, program development and training, and organizational culture consulting to clients across non-profit and education programs locally, statewide and nationally.Highlights include: conference/event planning, grant writing, volunteer program development,individualized trainings for clients centered on best practices in youth programs, and technicalassistance consulting for out of school time programs throughout Texas

In this role, I:-Monitored, evaluated and case managed 20 federally funded 21st CCLC programs throughout Texas ranging from large school districts to small CBOs, on behalf of Texas Education Agency-Conducted yearly state assessment and review of grant compliance and program quality for all grantees; then coached them in development of ongoing improvement plans-Developed and provided ongoing regional training and support systems for grantees related toprogram development & evaluation, sustainability, family & community partnerships and general OSTbest practices

In this role, I oversaw the professional development team and strategic planning of all professional development initiatives through CTAN, including a yearly conference for 300 attendees, a year-round monthly PD Series of workshops on best practices in OST, and our online resource library.I worked closely with the rest of our executive committee to identify goals and outcomes for CTAN as the primary OST intermediary and network in the central Texas area. I also served on TXPOST's (Texas Partnership for Out of School Time) Quality Standards Work group as part of this role, working for a full year with a team of statewide OST leaders to identify and recommend Texas's first ever set of OST quality standards, published in 2014 by TXPOST.

In this role, I:-Managed program content, services and evaluation across three K-5 afterschool and summer program centers-Created, coordinated and managed The BeHive Training System and Lifecycle of Employee for each staff position-Worked as part of executive leadership team in growing organizational structure and culture ; created our signature program models which served as a model for other agencies-Coached and mentored program staff and volunteers in innovative instructional methods, and continuous improvement plans-Managed over 20 high level partnerships with school administration, community organizations, and foundations-Worked closely with Development team in grant writing and data management, yearly fundraising events and donor stewardship

I worked closely with our executive leadership team and members to expand and further professionalize the out of school time field, to provide development opportunities to our member organizations and individuals, to advocate for OST policy and funding, and to increase awareness of the impact and future of OST programs.

As the Program Director, I was in charge of the creation and supervision of all programs for Heart House (now The BeHive)--a free after-school program for underserved elementary students in east and south Austin. My main roles included the creation, implementation, and evaluation of thematic curriculum; supervision and support of part-time teaching staff, creation of community collaborations, creation of special programs and events for the kids, and maintaining a positive educational environment.Key Accomplishments & Contributions Include:-Designed signature program models for afterschool and summer programs-Doubled volunteer numbers and engagement opportunities-Designed hiring and on-boarding processes for all part-time staff members-Developed signature events such as: Heart House Idol and Haunted Heart House
