Emma Stewart Email and Phone Number
Howdy! My name is Emma Stewart, and I’m a junior at Texas A&M University pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in mathematics. I also aim to pursue a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering after I complete my undergraduate education. While at A&M, I’ve grown through several opportunities. Firstly, I participated in Aggies Invent (VetMed) in January of 2022. In this forty-eight hour period, my team and I competed to create engineering solutions for the veterinary field. Through this, I learned how to quickly brainstorm and iterate through ideas, work with students of different engineering majors, and communicate effectively with my team and the judges. Additionally, I am involved as an officer in AUV, a project team through A&M’s Women in Engineering Program. In my role as the mechanical sub-team lead, I’ve learned how to be an effective leader, contribute to and manage mechanical design, operate manufacturing equipment, and budget our team’s time, money, and resources. Finally, I am a servant leader in Aggie Cru, a campus ministry at A&M. As a Bible study leader, I’ve learned how to serve students through their spiritual journeys in college, and I’ve learned how to foster community among the Bible study that I lead.During the summer of 2023, I completed a study abroad program for my solid mechanics course in Aix-en-Provence, France. While abroad, I practiced learning in a condensed time frame and adapting to another culture to display my respect. Additionally, when I was exposed to foreign education and research in engineering, I clearly saw the French’s orientation towards serving the public, environment, and industry. This service mindset is one that I appreciate and hope to incorporate into my own schooling and career.Overall, I'm driven to use my knowledge and skills as an engineer to serve others. My interests for my future career include the field of thermo-fluids as well as aquatic vehicles/robots. I’m excited for what the future has in store!
