Emma's varied professional career to date, from banking to HR, as well as entrepreneurship in the Arts sector has made for a perfect fit in her new role in Kerry County Council Arts Office. It has amounted to strong administration skills, a regimented approach to her work and a strong desire to succeed while promoting Irish Art and encouraging creativity in Ireland. An inherent creativity streak led her to set up Grounded Pottery with her mother with ceramic products that have a feel good or holistic aspect, all made from the earth . The core values of the brand are sustainability, craftsmanship and authenticity. With an initial focus on Travel Mugs that are hand thrown in traditional craft methods. Grounded Pottery's mission is for you to ‘Feel the difference’ of handmade ceramics and ‘Make a difference’ to the planet by using a reusable cup and avoid single use waste. Emma has strong environmental values and is currently studying in the field of Circular Economy, with an aim to bring these learnings into future designs and innovative product solutions.
