    I carry out many roles in this events-based society. We organise at least one event per week, with a target audience of mainly international students. Communication is therefore a key skill in this role as I write and send out the weekly newsletter which gives all of the updated information for all upcoming events. At the beginning of the year, it was my responsibility to put the mailing list together, which was a task that required attention to detail and accuracy. I also write the minutes for each committee meeting and have even stepped in to chair a meeting in the absence of the committee president. I also enjoy the aspects of ticket sales and supervision at the events themselves. We have run a huge range of events from, day trips, to group meals and nights out.
