Involved with tracking of engineering issues and their current status, monitoring and updating the list of CAD parts for Interior Trim, learning how to use and look up data using Digital Mockup software, navigating PLM software and exporting information about data, learning about the different engineering gateways to be met and the processes involved.Design: Project Management - Summer InternBased in the Design Studio for Tata Motors European Technical Centre (TMETC). Assisting with the project management of a vehicle programme. Focused on: tracking design surface CAD data for both interior and exterior parts, Catia V5, introduced to PLM software, organisation, working with Studio Engineers, exposure to the design of vehicles, the design process and gateways, financial spreadsheets.

Engineering Industrial Placement Trainee in Seating & Restraints.Based in Seating, mainly working with comfort aspects of seats. Tasks involved project management, testing, technical presentations, timing plans, design work, using the CAD system Catia, assessing temperature and humidity, cross-functional working, practical work, pressure mapping and more.As part of the Industrial Placement programme I was also involved in volunteering and charity fundraising. For volunteering, I was part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) team who went into schools to help show Year 9 children what these subjects are about and to help get them interested. I would work with a team of six children over the course of the day working through various activities, and the day would end with the children presenting their ideas back to us. With the charity fundraising, I was Chair of the Bentley Industrial Placement Charity Group. My role required a lot of organisation, planning and liaising with a variety of people. During the year, we held a variety of events to raise as much money as possible for NSPCC. As a result of our fundraising and team work, we managed to raise around £7700 which was a fantastic achievement.
