As the Chief Data Scientist for Financial Services I work on strategic AI projects with our customers across banking, capital markets, and insurance. I help executives understand how to prioritize their AI initiatives and develop new opportunities. I also work with technical teams to design, architect, and develop their solutions and platforms.

My focus areas are:
- OpenAI and Generative AI
- MLOps and ML Platform Engineering (primarily with AzureML)
- Designing Intelligent Applications (using both Cognitive Services and custom machine learning models)

I work with top financial services companies to identify and build data science and AI use cases. My team helps our customers build AI solutions to address their most pressing business challenges.

As a Lead Data Scientist and one of the first data science hires at Putnam, I had the opportunity to build an enterprise data science capability from scratch. This included running a portfolio of Data Science initiatives, working directly with the Investments, Distribution, and Product teams to empower the organization to achieve more using Data and AI/ML. I also focused on building the Data and Data Science Platforms using Cloud and Open-Source Tech to level up our Data and AI capabilities across the organization. In this role, I wore many hats to meet the needs of the business including data scientist, ml engineer, and cloud data architect. I also was responsible for recruiting and cultivating data science talent and have since been able to help jumpstart the careers of many people who are now top-notch data professionals.
