Ashu Yadav is first generation learner who hails from the small village of Etah, Uttar Pradesh.Ashu Yadav has co-led the STEP AHEAD initiative since 2020. He is responsible for successful leadership and management, supervises and stirs all organization's operations, people, and ventures in order to maintain and grow STEP AHEAD iNDiA, and is involved in shaping up the strategy, building partnerships, and project management. also, fulfills the much-needed role of mentor and guide to all those involved in the STEP AHEAD process. Prior to STEP AHEAD, he worked as Punjab Youth Leader, Fellow Mentor, Gandhi Fellow, and Aspirational District Collaborative Coordinator and has four years of experience in School Development & Project management & implementation in the social sector and is passionate about youth empowerment, and community development. He received his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow, and also did Journalism & Mass Communication.His time during Gandhi Fellowship in Mumbai enriched his character, by making him self-reliant and boosting his confidence to create social impact.He strongly believes in creating young change leaders to solve various societal challenges. STEP AHEAD iNDiA aims to build just that.Currently, He is leading Beacon Educator Fellowship to build the Capacity of Shikshak Sankuls' for the effective execution of NIPUN Bharat (Mission Prerna) on the ground at Aligarh Mandal by working in Foster & Forge Foundation.Ashu is a versatile kind of person and he maintains a healthy curiosity that is exhibited in his wide range of interests, from music and theatre to sports and storytelling. He also loves to explore new places and meet new people.
