Firehut was born in 2019 just prior to the pandemic. Since then demand for all outdoor living options has quadrupled but few have any character, they are mass produced, off the shelf, functional but bland. This is where Firehut comes into it's own. Every one is bespoke and the materials used are reclaimed, the cladding itself being the striking difference, up to 100 year old reclaimed oak cladding sourced from a host of fascinating places giving the wood a unique story, character and warmth.

I entered the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2021/2022 in Feb 2020. The race had been a distant dream for over 15 years. The campaign was constant, from the purchase, equipping and branding of the boat to sponsorship for a teenage mental health charity (£160,000) to nutrition, physical and mental preparation and the numerous qualifications needed to be allowed to undertake the crossing.
