Eric Peterson PhD is Interim President of BioVentures LLC, the technology transfer arm of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Peterson has also served on the UAMS Patent and Copyright Committee since 2014, evaluating inventions for scientific significance and market potential. He is also Associate Professor in the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Peterson’s primary research focus has been the NIH-funded design of antibody nanotechnology and/or gene therapy technologies that could reduce or block the rewarding effects of methamphetamine use disorder. Dr. Peterson is listed as an inventor on three patents for his contributions to immunotherapies for drug use disorder treatment. Dr. Peterson received his bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri and his doctoral degree from the University of Arkansas.
