Records Manager
Current• Maintain official records in computerized system; create files and indexes in database for newly scanned records; coordinate the scanning of historical records with an outside contractor• Coordinate, train, and supervise the work of part-time and temporary clerical personnel• Guide District Departments with indexing and maintenance of records pursuant to the District’s established Records Retention Schedule • Conduct records management training to ensure accurate and efficient processing of departmental records;• Coordinate scanning activities and on-site/off-site records storage;• Receive and process public record requests within the legal response period; ensure release of records complies with State laws• Interprets and applies knowledge of Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations relevant to municipal records keeping, retention, destruction and rules impacting departmental records; • Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure appropriate responses to inquiries and public records requests are provided;
